a whole mess of things

- happy birthday to bzzinglikeneon and happy belated to my favorite monkey drmonkeypants.

- the other night I had a dream where I was attending Starfleet Academy post-Narada and somehow my family was friends with Pike (or his family, I was never really clear on the connection) but anyway there was some sort of pre-established non-romantic relationship. and he and I had a vaguely antagonistic relationship that was obviously just a cover for our TRUE FEELINGS. and he'd always call me "Cadet" while I would shoot back "Admiral." at one point Kirk was there and just laughed and said that he thought Uhura was the only one who could make a title sound like 'asshole.' and then we were out to dinner and I said "Admiral" and he sighed and asked if I was ever going to call him Chris, and then I tragically woke up before I could answer that question. I choose to believe that I only call him Chris during sexytiems!

- the K-Mart near my house is closing down and so they're selling off all their inventory pretty cheap. and so I am now the proud owner of Guitar Hero World Tour. I've been drumming like the rock star that I am all weekend. \o/

- so my brother calls me earlier and leaves a message just all calm and how's the weather and oh btw he's getting married to his girlfriend in two weeks and can I be there. !!!!!! I called him back immediately (the reason I didn't pick up when he called was the aforementioned rock star-ing going on) and yeah. he and his girlfriend are getting married on the 17th. nothing like waiting until the last minute, but their second child is due to be born next month and I guess they figure this is the easiest time to do it. so now I have to figure out how I'm going to get home and if I can squeeze out a little time off. but regardless, even if I have to drive there saturday morning and back sunday night I will be there.

- I've spent most of my Sunday reading Kirk/McCoy fic. I believe this is a valid lifestyle choice.

- I can't believe Wincon is almost here. \o/

yet everyone around me thinks that I'm going crazy

two posts in one night? insanity. but there are important things to discuss:

1. ( Thor casting spoiler )

2. only tangentially relatated to that... where the hell is all the Chris Hemsworth RPF? COME ON PEOPLE. how about a little dirty wrong Chris/Chris. or make me really happy and bring the Chris/Karl/Chris. YES PLEASE.

3. also, who is going to write me girl!McCoy/Chapel? or girl!Kirk/Chapel? or (and omg if you didn't see this coming, how are we friends?) girl!McCoy/Chapel/girl!Kirk? hot lesbian action ftw! (come on. you know the first thing Jim would want to do after being turned into a girl is have sex.)

4. I really want to see Whip It but don't think I'll have a chance before Wincon, and then the following weekend is my brother's wedding (and yeah that's not getting any less weird to say/type) so I don't know when I'll see it. my life is hard.

5. there is no number 5. uh. see number 3. yeah.
