Nov. 22nd, 2009 10:53 pm- so I can not stop listening to Lady GaGa The Fame Monster and Adam Lambert For Your Entertainment. Like they've both been on repeat for the last several days. I LOVE THEM BOTH SO MUCH. (and ahahahah I'm so lame that I didn't realize that neither has actually been released yet. I'll buy them when I can I promise!)
- that said, I enjoyed both of their performances on the AMAs but felt that Lady GaGa was actually the one who wasn't trying as hard. I KNOW. although Adam please continue to kiss all the boys onstage that you can.
- also in regards to Adam's album, and I say this with absolute love and affection but sometimes his voice sounds like Richard Marx to me. I'm not sure what it is, but there's something about the tone, or perhaps the theatrics of it. SOMETHING. IT'S POSSIBLE I'M WEIRD. (also I grew up in the 70s and 80s so um. I kind of love Richard Marx. I'M JUST SAYIN'!)
- I have thinky thoughts regarding Supernatural and my enjoyment of it and how this does not make me a bad feminist or self-hating or WHATEVER but I can't quite sort it out in a way that makes sense outside of my head.
- Castle snuck up on me and has become one of my very favorite shows. I'll admit I was reluctant at first, mostly because I love Nathan Fillion so very much and just couldn't take the heartbreak of the series being canceled (I'm looking at you FOX!) but ABC has proved to be much smarter than FOX and since it's very safely and popularly into its second season I've been able to catch up on it. SO FUN! the premise is absolutely ridiculous but whatever. Nathan is as charming as ever. the rest of the cast is outstanding. and I love love love love the family dynamic both amongst the detectives at the precinct, and Castle's actual family, especially his relationship with his daughter. like I needed another reason to love Nathan ridiculous amounts. (god the Halloween episode alone was enough to cement my love forever and ever.)
- work has been full of fail lately and I'd really like to not go anymore. since I don't see that working out very well for me I'm just going to try and Mary Sue my way through my shift. (Friday brought a pretty fantastic Chris Pine BFF w/benefits scenario. good times.)
- despite their best efforts to sabotage themselves, the Colts won. ♥
- someone somewhere on the internets (oh yeah, my memory is ACES!) suggested Paget Brewster for Number One in reboot!Trek. THIS IS GENIUS. ( behold! )
now picture her having tons of UST withHotch Pike. GOOD TIMES.
- utter movie fail this weekend. I just couldn't motivate myself out of the house which is both pathetic and predictable. next weekend though. oh yes! there will be mocking of twihards and possibly the destruction of the planet. yes.
