they don't know my head is a mess

so you know when your mother starts the conversation with the words 'now don't freak out' it's really not going to be a fun phone call. more health problems for my dad that amazingly they actually called to tell me about. mostly I think because since my dad spent the night in the hospital my mom stayed over at my brother's place. and they knew he would tell me. anyway, ultimately my dad is ok but I've been in a weird headspace most of the day.

in reaction to this I've just been looking for things to make me happy. so I give you a list of mostly tumblr posts because hey, that seems to be where the happy lives these days.

there might have been more but my dad just called me so I could hear his voice and he could tell me himself that he's ok. so I'm just going to go have a little cry and then probably collapse into bed.
