when your seven worlds collide
Mar. 8th, 2009 10:54 pmthought about going to go see Watchmen again today, but after yet another coughing fit left me feeling like I'd been run over by a truck, I decided to stay in and watch tv and nap instead. not the most exciting day, but hopefully one that will lead towards me actually getting better. it's been almost two weeks now that I've been sick and I can not express how much I do not approve of this development.
it did however give me time to catch up on some tv that I had saved to my dvr. like the most recent episode of CSI. now, my love affair with CSI ended a couple of years ago but I like to check every now and then to see what's going on. and when I saw the previews for this weeks episode, I knew I had to tune in. no not because of Taylor Swift, although she did a good job. in fact if the commercials hadn't informed me over and over again that she was in this episode, I would have had no idea who that girl was. anyway. no the reason I tuned in was because anyone could tell from the commercials that this was a Nick episode. and there is one thing that you can count on in a Nick episode. He's going to cry. I can't properly express how much I love it when Nick cries. the way his voice breaks and his face crumples and just. gah. it's beautiful and he's beautiful and I love him.
also was pleasantly surprised by Fredric Lehane turning up. everyone's favorite yellow eyed demon was perfect as someone from rural Arizona who lost their daughter to meth. the realism of his character/storyline (even though it was such a small part) really worked for me as someone who lives in rural Arizona. it was also really nice to see him act and not ACT.
well done CSI. I don't know that I'm ready to start seeing you again every week, but I am glad to see that the reasons why I used to love you are still there despite all the changes. (oh and the addition of Laurence Fishburne is so A+++++++ that I can't even stand it.)
I need a general tv icon. hmmm. oh well. have some Shemar Moore being a hotass.
I don't want to go to work tomorrow. so you know. it's a day that ends in 'y.'
