so I've been watching my file of questionable legality and I have yet more thoughts on things that I love beyond reason



- wee!Spock with that smudge of green blood on his lip and the green bruising on his cheek? I just want to cuddle him close he is so precious!
- I really love the song that is playing as Uhura walks into the bar.
- when Pike says "do you like being the only genius level repeat offender in the Midwest?" and Jim snarks back with "Maybe I love it" with that air of 'you're not my dad!' ladies and gentleman, Jim Kirk and his Daddy Issues.
- also the look on Pike's face when Jim says "Four years? I'll do it in three."
- Bones' pouty little "fine!" as he sits down on the shuttle.
- absolutely everything about Gaila
- the way Uhura can say "Captain" like she's saying "asshole!" and keep it just this side of insubordination. ♥
- both Uhura and Bones after Jim beats the Kobayashi Maru. their faces are so clearly "oh shit he was insufferable BEFORE"
- the apple!
- that Bones is excitedly looking out the window as they approach the Enterprise.
- "Punch it"
- Jim hitting on the nurse as Bones drags him into sickbay.
- Bones' "Unbelievable" after he sedates Jim.
- when Uhura and Spock are in the turbolift and that one moment he gives in and buries his face in her shoulder.
- after Jim is marooned on Delta Vega and he's recording his log and just the way he says "violation of security protocol 49.09" cracks me up. like he's suddenly all about the rule book. oh Jim. ♥
- "James T. Kirk" "Excuse me?"
- I read this in someone else's journal, but during the mindmeld when we're seeing the attack on the USS Kelvin, you hear this anguished 'noooooooo' that is clearly not Spock's voice. the idea that it was Kirk reacting to the death of his father in seeing it through the mindmeld makes my heart go all ouchy.
- "Are you out of your Vulcan mind?" (of course the subsequent stallion metaphor is still awkward. really Bones? comparing Jim to a stallion? lolz)
- omg I cry every single time Spock Prime says "Jim. I just lost my planet. I can tell you, I am emotionally comprimised." waaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh.
- "oh good he's seventeen"
- the way Jim speaks "so her first name's Nyota?" as an aside to Spock. heeeeee.
- when Spock calls him "Jim" for the first time.
- "Fascinating"
- "I got your gun."
- everything about the scene where they hail the Narada after the red matter has been ignited. the way Kirk and Spock are standing there together. the way Jim says "Captain James T. Kirk" Spock's "No not really. Not this time." and finally Jim's "You got it."
- Pike's "I am relieved" (my love for Pike is at fairly ridiculous levels)
- Jim in the gold shirt. GOD DAMN.
- Jim: "Bones! Buckle up!" Bones: *eye roll*

oh hell this whole damn movie.

I've come to fall in love with the way Bones HIMSELF gets smug post Kobiyashi Maru. It's this TINY moment, but when Jim spins to peer up at the superiors, you can see Bones doing the same and I LOVE IT.
