the fifth thing is a mystery

- I got a C on my Bio test... awesome considering I got almost ALL the muscles wrong (thank god I know the skeletal system.) Left class early and came home to bake cupcakes. Spice cakes with a dreamsicle buttercream. They are quite tasty. <3

- Other than that I've spent my evening looking at pictures of Alex O'Loughlin. NEXT I'M GOING TO WRITE REGINA + ALEX ON EVERYTHING I OWN. (uh I might not be kidding)

- Over the weekend I went to the movies with friends. We decided to make it a double feature and saw Sucker Punch and Limitless. Spoilers under the cuts obvs.

Sucker Punch:

I am still trying to work out if I liked it or not. I'm leaning towards yes. I liked the look of it. The soundtrack is fantastic. There are many scenes that I really like. But all together as a coherent piece of film? eh not so much. I'm probably going to see it again because frankly the end changed my entire perception of the story so I'd like to go in knowing what I know and see if I can make a little more sense of it. Rocket was quite predictably my favorite girl, although I couldn't stop staring at Blondie's rack. yes I felt like a pervert. I got over it.

The thing that worries me however is that I have a sinking feeling that none of my questions on the plot will be answered from subsequent viewings because I think it may just be a problem with Snyder's story and direction. WHICH IS VERY FRUSTRATING

ON THE OTHER HAND LOTS OF HOT LADIES FOR Y'ALL TO WRITE FIC ABOUT.

- fic rec: Everybody's Looking for Something by rivers_bend (Teen, Rocket-centric) - 900 perfect words of how Rocket got where she is and where she's now going.

Limitless:

This is such a fun movie. Perfect popcorn movie. The action and hotness of Bradley Cooper just made the fact that the plot is RIDICULOUS all the more fun. Also if that drug was real I would totes take it. YAY DRUGS. that... that was the message I was supposed to take away from it right?

- Also Abbie Cornish is in both of those movies and I think I might have a bit of a crush now.

- after the movies we played Guitar Hero until waaaay too late. my voice was shot on Sunday morning. BECAUSE I AM A ROCK STAR.

- also my friend showed me the following which I guess is a thing going around the interwebs and is an animation of a dramatic reading of a silly game review. the kind of review where the person is all SRS BZNS and then tries to be all 'I don't care.' I laughed so hard I almost peed.

Avoiding spoilers! but, did you like Sucker Punch? I want to see it, but I've heard so many mixed reviews.

I'm not sure? I'm probably going to see it again to see if I can makes some more sense out of it. definitely go to a matinee. I want you to see it because I'm interested in what other people think, but. the visuals and some of the scenes and relationships are great, but then there are others that will send any right thinking person into a rage. so. there is that.

of course this did not stop me from making icons. :)
