but everything still happens anyway
Aug. 16th, 2008 11:48 pm- woke up this morning with the mother of all migraines. last night's dinner made a return engagement and I crawled back into bed with hopes of death. while that did not happen, fitful sleep until most of the pain was gone and finally real sleep. (in which I had a bizarre dream featuring doing my laundry and Sean Bean wanting me to listen to his iPod and asking me out to dinner. um. oookay.) the real downside of all this was that I missed the cancer walk up in Flagstaff this morning. I think I would have been okay to do the walk, but there was no way I could drive myself up there. bah.
- ran some errands and while I was out, just for the heck of it, went by Barnes and Noble. this is the store that my mom managed while my parents were still living here. I called my mom as I was leaving the store because I knew she would love this. as I told her, I was able to perfectly sum up in one sentence what the store is like now that she is gone. Sylvia Plath is in the sci-fi section. *facepalm*
- ( this should be the last day I talk about Olympic swimming )
- it does not mean the end of talking about Michael Phelps however. or Ryan Lochte for that matter. and if you couldn't see this coming, you totally don't know me at all. :D
The Moments in Between by
dancinbutterfly [Phelps/Lochte, PG-13] - “Seriously. Don’t make me kick your ass.” Michael looks up at him, and there’s that smile, the one Ryan fell for back at trials in ‘04. “Again.”
few words worth by
cf33 [Phelps/Lochte, NC-17] - Ryan snorted and licked once more before replying. "Trying to have sex with myself with the stimulative help of your skin."
False Start by
dancinbutterfly [Phelps/Lochte, PG-13] - “The whole world’s watching, but I see you. I like you.”
move, but stand in place by
cf33 [Phelps/Lochte, NC-17] - "As opposed to the other possibility where no one wanted to room with you because you're an antisocial mute who doesn't know how to have fun?" Ryan's grin grows.
- and because it's the funniest thing I've seen in a long time
