you guys.

"Potential" is on right now and omg I love this episode so much! I know a lot of people don't like Dawn, but gah. I love the range of emotions that she goes through. but of course the part I love the most is the end when Xander talks to her about being special. *cries*

seriously. just. *sigh*

although this is where we get more of 'Xander is the one who sees' which is just build up for things that I HAVE STILL NOT FORGIVEN JOSS

Is liking Dawn an unpopular opinion? I loved her. I mean, I think it was an odd plot device, but I loved the dynamic between her and Buffy.

The end of that ep is killer. Oh, Xander.

Dawn was pretty hated back in the day. At least amongst the people that talked with online. Although, it was like that anytime they introduced a new character outside of the core Scooby group. Riley. Tara (although people warmed to her pretty quick... cause she's AWESOME.) Dawn was just another character that people got all omg wtf about.

Seriously. The end of that episode can make me cry just thinking about it. Because Xander! How so perfect?! :)

I liked Riley for her at the time, but I wasn't sorry to see him go when time came. Tara is awesome, thinking about Anya can still make me cry.

I think my opinions about all of them aren't hurt by the fact that I watched it all on DVD after the end of everything. I mean, it's easy to like people like Riley when you know they aren't sticking around to mess with the dynamic.

XANDER! God, I still haven't actually *watched* Nathan Fillion and the eye incident. I fast forwarded through it the first time and haven't looked back. *huzz* Though I do like that it gave him the ability to say what is one of my favorite lines, "I'd like to see your point, but you're standing a little to the left."

Oh Dawn. From her, I took away my most favourite BtVS quote:

"get out Get Out GET OUT!!!!"

Dawn is like. Well, I root for Buffy first and foremost at all times, forever. So Dawn when she was just "Wah poor me, my life sucks" was fine and endearing and funny. But when Dawn joined the rest of the fools (in the last season) in saying "Get out Buffy, you are no use anymore"? That made me angry cause Dawn is Buffy's sister and after everything...ARGH!

But then I just end up blaming it on bad characterization and sloppy writers, and I feel better about Dawn herself. ;D

although this is where we get more of 'Xander is the one who sees' which is just build up for things that I HAVE STILL NOT FORGIVEN JOSS

What what what? Explain! *claps* I missed out on all the BtVS fandom chat! XD

Dawn can grate. Don't get me wrong there. But there was a lot (A LOT) of Dawn hate when she first appeared. It didn't really bother me when she joined with the others because yes they're sisters, but Buffy was really good at making Dawn feel like she didn't count anyway. So. *shrugs*

oh and I was just saying it was just another one of those times when Joss dropped little hints that he was going to have NATHAN FILLION HURT XANDER. *sigh* out of all the things that happened on that show over the years, I think that was the single most horrific moment when Xander lost his eye. Because one. EW. and two. OMG IT'S XANDER.
