loveflyfreeam at the parents house for mother's day. I brought cake, so mom was happy. :D
and then she helped me with my laundry. naawwwwww mom!
have done precious little today. mom and I went shopping which was unsuccessful for both of us, but we had fun anyway. tonight we're having bbq tri-tip. nom nom nom.
so I think things with B have finally gotten to the point where I'm pretty much over it. like there's still sometimes a little pang when he'll be really sweet, but I just can't waste my time pining away after someone who is going to stay with someone that he doesn't like half the time. and if he's going to do the on again/off again thing with her, I can't be the one who is going to be around during the 'off again' and maintain any kind of self respect.
also, he's been kinda... dumb lately. like he didn't know what the word 'indefinitely' meant. which. I dunno. I mean I know I can be an intellectual snob, but 'indefinitely'? how do you not know that word? or how can you not figure it out? *sigh* and then there's other stuff that just makes me shake my head and think 'moron' a lot. so that can't be good.
but like I said sometimes he's super sweet and I do enjoy the attention but I just can't in good conscience respond to him the way I have been in the past. so I think from now on I'll just respond the same way I do to any of the guys at work (and I kinda adore the whole lot of them, such great people to work with) so it won't be like I'm ignoring him or treating him poorly or anything. just. not special. because he can't be to me. at least not with how things stand right now.

NOW. let me talk about David Cook, because I typed out all that above and didn't mention him once! aren't you proud?! heh.
but seriously people. take a look at my icon. for those not in the know, that is David and Carly. Carly is this totally hot Irish woman that was kicked off WAY too soon. I'm going to openly beg at this point for someone to write me David/Carly or Micheal/Carly or dear god David/Carly/Michael. Both Michael and Carly are married but seriously I don't need a whole lot of reality. Just you know. Hotness.
Michael Johns - 29, 6'3", Australian. Has been in the states for about 10 years or so. Finished 8th in the Idol competition which is frankly ridiculous and mostly just points to the voting public being really really DUMB. Married. Most behind the scenes shenanigating seems to involve him and David Cook.
Carly Smithson - 24, Irish. Has also been in the states for about 10 years. Finished 6th in Idol competition because again... America is dumb. Also married. Has said in interviews that she is closest to Michael, David, and Amanda.
David Cook - 25, around 6' I think, born in Houston, TX but grew up in Blue Springs, MO. Is one of the final three contestants left on Idol. Has often spoke of missing Michael. Not sure if it's fanon or canon, but most say that the two roomed together while both were on the show. Went to University of Central Missouri on theater scholership, but eventually gave it up and graduated with a degree in graphic design. Moved to Tulsa to persue music. Worked as a bartender and musician; a combo that I can only assume led to him having a lot of sex. :)
So yes. These are my three favorites and I can't wait to see them on tour this summer and in the meantime would really really REALLY like to read fic about them. :p
