omg I will try veryVERY hard to make it work. Though I kinda have to start job before I feel them out about getting time off that week (or just TELL them I am taking time off that week). Helps that it's a casual job though, so it may not hurt to ask for a couple days off that they might not have me down for anyway. OMG I WISH THEY WOULD HURRY UP AND GET ME ON THE JOB SO I CAN BE ALL I AM GOING TO VEGAS ALLRIGHTY BUHBYE!

most jobs are pretty understanding, and you can always fib a little and say that you already had the plans. assuming that get you in there soon... you're still giving them over a months notice that you need just a couple of days. MAYBE JUST EXPLAIN TO THEM THAT OMG DAVID COOK AIIIIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

I really wish they did not ask me the question in the interview about whether or not I had any upcoming plans (to which, at the time, I answered NO). ><

however, things change. and true, I could always say that the plans were made and I forgot or that the plans were confirmed the day of the interview or something. Or that I thought they meant "plans to go away indefinitely, as in back to Australia again" (which is what I assumed they meant at the time); that could work. Or just DAVID COOK OMG LIIIIIIIVE!!1

the concert is on the night of Saturday July 5th. my work friend and I are either going the night of the 3rd or the morning of the 4th as we don't have work on the 4th. general Vegas shenanigans until showtime. home on Sunday the 6th.

that's the plan. unless David falls in love with me and takes me on tour with him. unless something else comes up.

I have to be honest and say that this might not work out for me because I have other financial committments right now (ie loans to pay back, etc), but I am going to ponder and make lists and have a general poohbear THINKTHINKTHINK on the matter. I so want to go, especially in light of your major thoughtfulness and generousity, but I promise to let you know by monday. that way, if it looks like things aren't going to work monies-wise for me, you'll have lots of time to offload ticket, y/y?

hmmm... I think I might start a David savings account too. cause you're right. he so will. and if the universe loved me (which sometimes I doubt it very much, but I figure I'm due) it won't be a big stadium tour, but rather smaller venues or even, dare I hope for such a thing, a club tour.
