- had a lovely day. friend D came over and we watched the extended versions of FotR and TTT. she has never seen any LotR! I don't know how I keep finding these people who have never seen these movies! she is so in love with Frodo and Sam. as she should be. everytime they would be on screen she would sigh "awwww bff". heh. we probably would have watched RotK but it was getting late and she still had to drive home, which is about 30 minutes away. so. another weekend. :)

- predictably david cook is showing up on tmz and the like. I can only assume that I've gotten old and jaded, because I know back in popslash days we used to live for this kinda shit and now I just. it leaves a bad taste in my mouth. ya know? and while I watch the comms I'm on go crazy about the clips I can't even bring myself to watch them. *sigh*

- the parental units move next weekend. mom has already told me to keep those days clear. I get to help load the u-haul. yay? mom has already promised to take and send me lots and lots of pictures of the ocean. because she is a mean and spiteful woman. :D

- so meds seem to be pretty mild so far. I mean, I have no idea if they're working, but the side effects seem fairly minimal. the one I take at night does make me tired and dizzy (which is why I'm supposed to take it at night) but the one I take in the morning doesn't seem to do anything at all. let's just hope that they're doing what they're supposed to. on the plus side of health worries, I've tested my blood sugar the past few days and it's been well within the "normal" range. so at this point, I'm thinking/hoping that diabetes will not be among the problems I have. so at least there's that.

- tomorrow's plans include the zoo and not being at work. which frankly is the best thing in the world. \o/

tmz is a paparazzi website/tv show/scum of the earth that breaks all the big celebrity "news" (read: who's dating who and who's going to rehab) basically it's demon spawn running a website.

they're moving back to california where we're from. about half way between san francisco and la on the coast. tiny touristy town that's ridiculously beautiful. at least I'll have somewhere nice to go for the holidays.

no not the spins thank goodness. just a little light-headedness if I stand up too quickly.

our zoo is so cute! it's kinda little but I love it anyway.

eww, I hate pap photos. 99% of them are so awful because the person being photographed looks so angry. I don't give a crap if the person is waving cheerily at them or something, but if they're coming out of a grocery store in their pjs or something, no. no.

nice! I cannot wait to finally do a california trip. it's been agony to just keep flying over it, what will all of that coastline and promises of disneyland goodness. yesterday, eglvm and I were watching a disney commercial and she cried out WHERE'S DAVID COOK? ha.

yeah. if the subject being photographed is like... at an event or something and they wave at the cameras? fine. that's different. but you know. pictures while they're leaving a restaurant just kinda turn my stomach. blah.

california will always be where part of my heart lives. I can't afford to live there now, but if I ever have the means, I will go back. sometimes I wonder why I ever left. and if you ever take that trip and go to disneyland I WANT TO GO TO. :D
