far too blind to see

loveflyfree- apparently I'm very tired. I got home from work about 5:30 and promptly passed out for an hour and a half. but now I'm awake and one spinach salad later actually feel like a human again. woot!
- what I'm sure directly lead to that is I'm the only person in my department this week. things have been. weird. to say the least at work. I briefly mentioned last week about horrible things happening to my friend. well. last wednesday night she went home from work and found her husband dead. they've been together forever and I can't even comprehend what she must be going through. all she wants is to be with her best friend again and he's not there. aaaaand I'm crying again. which is why I haven't really talked about this because I just can't. *breathes*
so. obviously she's not at work. and then the other girl had vacation this and next week. she offered to come in, but I told her to go. I have my own vacations coming up and if they think I'm going to work they're crazy. I haven't had a day off (not counting holidays) since last October so I think my long weekend in Vegas next month is exactly what I need. but in order to get there, I have to do the work of three people this week. thank goodness it's a short week. but it might mean that I have to nap after work. for I am a little old lady.
- so. our volunteer team at work is doing Relay for Life at the beginning of next month. it's a pretty amazing event. for those who don't know about it, it benefits the American Cancer Society and is basically teams of people staying up and walking all night to represent that while cancer never sleeps, neither does the fight against it. I assume that I'll be crying for a good portion of the night. ;p
if anyone would like to sponsor me you can go here. even just a couple of dollars makes a difference. if any of you with larger flists than me want to mention this... that would be super awesome.

hahaha. I didn't make it or anything. just found it on the interwebs. and some girl mentioned that she's making an animated mood theme so you know... depending on the pictures I might have to change to that. :)
