So the tattoo is 'keep finding pieces of myself in yesterday' which is a line from Axium's "Clean Break." Yes that is David Cook's old band. No I'm not crazy. Well, okay I am. But I'm not just randomly tattooing myself with his lyrics because I think he's hot...

Most of you probably don't know, but I've been unable to write for... ever. It feels like anyway. Whenever I sit down at the keyboard, or with journal and pen in hand, my mind just goes blank. And while I was never a terribly prolific poster, I've always written scenes and lines and little things that were really just for me.

So enter my obsession with David Cook. He's hot. He's amazingly talented. And it turns out, I really dig his pre-Idol music. And one night I get my hands on some Axium mp3s. And I'm listening and he sings this line. "looking back on better days, keep finding pieces of myself in yesterday."

And there it is. I open up Word and it's like. I don't even know. But the words are just pouring out of me. And within 15-20 minutes I've written 6 pages. It's nothing I'm ever going to post. It's something just for me. It may be lame, but I feel like he gave that back to me. And that's why I put his words on my body.

it's still kinda scabby and gross right now. hopefully it will look better within a couple days. definitely by tour. :)

here's the song. Axium - Clean Break or the live version where David tells you what the song is about. :D

thanks! I planned on just getting it on my wrist and the artist was like 'ah. no.' when I told him what I wanted. and I didn't want anything else on my ankles (yet) so I asked if he could spiral it up my arm. I was worried it might look strange but it turned out pretty awesome. \o/
