2. OLYMPICS. ♥ omg Michael Phelps!!!! Although truthfully if Ryan Lochte had pulled off an upset I would have been just as happy. <3 Also? Dara Torres. Fuuuuuuuuck. *chinhands*
3. So I don't think I've mentioned it but I have another walk coming up. This one isn't a race, it's a fundraiser walk. 7 miles. Uphill. In a higher elevation than I live. Wooo? It's next weekend and I've done this particular walk the past two years. Two years ago I finished and felt totally and completely bad. ass. Last year I wussed out about half way up the mountain and took the shuttle the rest of the way. Really want to finish again this year. We shall see.
4. Rec: Shadow Unit - original fiction (*gasp!* I know!) from a group of fantastic fantasy writers (Elizabeth Bear, Emma Bull, Will Shetterly, among others) that is part Criminal Minds, part X-Files and ALL AWESOME. It's written like it's a tv show. It's so completely made of win I can't even properly describe it. I've read 5 "episodes" over the past two days. The characters are brilliant and I've been mentally casting them all day. ♥
