article on Beth Foraker and her sons (uh for those of you who aren't crazy like me... that's David Cook's mom.) seriously awesome article that made me tear up but at least I know that Beth still cries more than I do. <3

work was almost fun today. annoying supervisor has been... making an effort lately? I dunno. but he's been considerably less annoying the past two weeks. please work gods. let this trend continue. less fun was co-worker C who is INSANE and thinks everything is about her. like Donna and I were talking about MJ's 30th birthday party and C then cornered Donna later to find out why "we were talking about her!" what the actual fucking fuck? it really doesn't matter what any of us say, she will still turn it around to be all about her. *stabbity*

ugh. I refuse to end my post talking about her. um.

oh! I know. watch David Archuleta looking at a binder full of articles about... himself. SO FREAKING CUTE.

one of the things I really loved about the article was the honesty of it. the party line has always been OMG OF COURSE ANDREW WAS TOTALLY OKAY WITH DAVID GETTING TO LIVE OUT HIS DREAM WHY WOULDN'T HE BE OMG NEXT QUESTION. it was nice to hear Beth talk about how there was some tension there and that it was hard for everyone, but that Andrew worked through it. dear AI propaganda machine... it is okay to present people as human. we'll love them all the same (if not more.)

Nope, the vid's been removed. (You can probably still see it because it's in your internet cache.) 19E/FOX has been really cracking down about footage of the Idols being on YouTube. The only real exception seems to be concert footage.

I greatly liked the honesty of it, too. It doesn't make Andrew a bad person that it took him a little time to process David getting to go when he had decided to compete at all on a whim, while Andrew himself didn't. That's a perfectly reasonable human reaction, and especially since David is the older sibling. Andrew came around and has been rocking it ever since.
