I talked to my neice Sophie today who informed me that they were having a 'fiesta and then a siesta.' she's 3. ♥

then she said "I love you Aunt Regina" and I started to cry.

so um. then I talked to my brother who told me I should be reading Preacher and I said, hello, who do you think I am. We're both reading Watchman right now. I told him he's dumb if he doesn't read Y: The Last Man. it was almost like being there with him. :)

what am I thankful for today? my family, old friends, new friends, my job, my health and david cook. ;)

also, I went and saw Twilight today. holy crap best unintentional comedy of the season. my sides HURT from holding in all the laughter. *thumbs up* (seriously though it was a much better movie than I was expecting. oh! [livejournal.com profile] sarahcascade! I made my friend stay through the credits so I could see your name. \o/)

I am enjoying the hell out of Watchmen. I can't read it all at once like I can with some comics, so it's taking me a little while to get through it. but yes. damn good.

But seriously. Oh, my God, that movie is so bad. And yet still so much better than the books, even if that is like saying that a raging case of gonorrhea is still better than AIDS and doesn't actually mean that I'm praising either one of them. (For instance, the movie actually develops a plot inside of fifteen minutes, rather than holding it off until the last fifty pages.)

(Also, Edward being turned, slashy as hell, y/y? I know now why Edward is so unpredictable and manic-depressive: he's clearly a survivor of sexual abuse. This is probably just something that the character refused to tell SMeyer, like the characters forgot to resolve a major fucking plot point for her in the fourth book.)

*hugs on you*

that is one of my favorite Buffy episodes EVER. trufax.

what I love is that I'm horrified by my reaction to both the book and movie (mainly that I don't hate them) and now I'm just waiting until I have enough money to buy the next book. *facepalm*

and YES to Edward being turned. I was like. oh. oh.

(thanks bb. this was not an easy holiday this year.)
