- Bobby is so damn awesome. and I loved what he had to say about John. and that Dean couldn't really argue with it once Bobby got to the point.
- man Zachariah is a dick. which yeah we knew already but man. dick.
- was disappointed that Ruby turned out to be the bad guy, but not terribly surprised. and her death was a little needlessly gangbang for my taste. whatever Kripke.
- CASTIEL RULES THE MOTHERFUCKING UNIVERSE. from his first scene where he looks ashamed when Dean looks over at him, to using his blood to open up a doorway for him and Dean to that absolutely priceless look he gave Chuck at the end I love Castiel forever and ever and ever.
- Sam's face when he realized what he had done. oh Sam.
- Dean in the waiting room was really very interesting. the angels see humans as such mindless simple creatures. give Dean some cheeseburgers and beer and he'll be happy right? nice try. and his bit with Castiel about how he'll take the pain and guilt and suffering. ♥
- so this whole war is pretty much and demons and angels doing yeah? I mean, God has left the building... or whatever it was that Zachariah said. does that leave the angels as the ultimate power for good? or does "Father" come home eventually and punish his children.
- ARGH FADE TO WHITE DAMN YOU KRIPKE

unrelatedly I've been thinking for months now that I would very much like to hear Adam Lambert sing this song. yes.

The fact that they unabashedly put an angel on the redemption road and know makes me forgive this show for so many sins, you have no idea. Also, could Dean and Castiel have been any more like fighting boyfriends in that scene? I don't think that they could have. You don't get that angry unless you know someone is capable of better. (Which is why Dean's refusal to deal with Sam hurt so much three episodes ago.)

I'm going to hum quietly to myself all summer long about the fact that Castiel switched sides because Dean said, "You're better than this," and Cas realized, "Holy shit, I am." And that there was no suspense whatsoever in Castiel showing up holding a knife and then covering Dean's mouth, because Dean knew immediately what he was there to do.

yeah. the storyline they've set up for Castiel is pretty much enough to make me forgive everything else.

that scene where Cas showed up with the knife was amazing. Misha and Jensen sold that whole thing just by looking at each other. ♥

I mean, God has left the building...

I really kind of want Sam and Dean to hook up with Jesse Custer next season. :D
