Is this why the hearing loss plotline was glossed over at the beginning of the season? BECAUSE THE WRITERS ARE FROM HELL AND KNEW THEY WERE GOING TO DO THIS?!?!

but. but. it's Hotch. I can't. it's just. oh this is going to sound so sappy and lame but whatever most of you probably expect that from me by now. Hotch is my favorite. he's the mental picture I have of good. he does this job because even though it sometimes seems like the monsters will never stop coming, he knows that for every person he stops that's at least one more person that he's saved. and that matters. just because there are still more monsters out there doesn't mean you give up. it means you keep doing the job. it's dangerous, and all consuming and you can lose yourself completely. but the fight is worth fighting.

and now the one killer that has slipped through Hotch's grasp is back and holding a gun to him. the killer is standing at point blank range. the screen fades to black with a gunshot. AND I HAVE TO WAIT ALL FUCKING SUMMER TO FIND OUT WHAT HAPPENS.

*cries*

and now I can't get the scene with Reid out of my head where he asks Hotch "do you ever get the feeling that it's not going to end well?"

*cries more*

I was going to be happy no matter what the outcome, but I really thought Adam was going to win. Kris absolutely earned his place in the finale, but I think Adam out-performed him. and whether there was a backlash against him, or complacency amongst the fanbase, or some kind of perfect storm of these and other factors I don't know.

all I do know is that I almost peed when he walked out and started singing "Beth." ♥

I was sad. Kris is ok and all, but I do feel that Adam>>>Kris. He's got a greater vocal range and much more charisma. But I sort of called it a few weeks ago. If it would have been Adam/Gokey, Adam would have won because enough ppl think that Gokey is a douche to sway their vote. But it's hard to NOT like Kris. And those who would have voted Gokey totally went to Kris, I think.

I can see that. for me I can't really say one is better than the other because they fulfill two different emotional needs for me.

and you're completely right. had it been Gokey I think Adam would have taken it.

(oh god I'll get there eventually. I was thinking about it at work today - because I gotta do something to keep me sane - and I decided that it would be Emily who comes over to tell me the news. Garcia couldn't even say the words. so I'm in my office/cube (I can never decide what my job is) and I know something is up because the offices are in like lockdown right now and all the team leaders are going apeshit and Garcia and Emily show up and I'm like what's going on. and Garcia can't say anything. she's just pale as a ghost and her face crumples and she can't even look at me which is when I get scared. so Emily steps up and is just like "it's Hotch." and I'm pretty much in denial because my brain is screaming that something is wrongwrongwrong but I'm sorta playing dumb. and then she says "he was attacked. shot." and I'm still kinda blinking at her because it's not like it's the first time he's been shot at and then Garcia makes a little strangled noise.) IT'S ALL SO TRAGIC AND THERE IS PROBABLY A SCENE WITH ME GOING TO SEE HIM IN THE HOSPITAL BUT FINDING HALEY SITTING BESIDE HIM SO I FLEE BUT MAYBE ROSSI SEES THAT AND TALKS TO ME LATER. yeah.
