Christine Chapel is nothing if not observant.

I love this story so much I want to make space babies with it. you might think for the title that you're just going to get some fun, cracked out story but oh no. no this is an epic story of how Christine Chapel and Leonard McCoy keep crashing together and falling apart. this is one of the very best Christine characterizations I've seen so far. she's foul-mouthed, full of pride and god damn good at her job. I am more than a little in love with her. moves from academy days to an absolutely heart-wrenching view of the events of the movie from the trenches of sickbay to trying to settle back into a "normal" life after they get back to Earth. a great read and oh yeah, some really fucking hot sex scenes. some very mild domination going on that is very much consensual. pardon me while me eyes glaze over again.

there is also a sequel (or re-telling from McCoy's POV) that I haven't read yet but am about to even though I need to be up early for work. I feel comfortable with my priorities.
