so here I sit at work, perched on the back of one of the crew trucks, waiting for fireworks to begin. you may find yourself thinking that surely there are better places to see the fireworks from. and indeed there are. but um. I couldn't find anyone to go with me and I didn't want to go to the park alone. which sucks a lot because I really love fireworks. so I tried to think of a place that I had legal access to and work is pretty much the only place.I can't tell yet if this is a good spot or not. there may be a building in my way. I guess I'll find out soon enough.
I can tell you that this place is fucking creepy at night. I mean I feel pretty safe since you need a keycard to gain access to the grounds, but all the trucks and equipment cast some freaky shadows. plus being the only person here is weird.
oooooh. I just saw fireworks from one town over. yay!
crap I think the angle might be all wrong from here.
okay well that didn't go as planned. my perch on top of the crew truck was great for watching the fireworks in the next town over, but sucktastic for the town I was actually in. so I hopped down, ran for my truck and drove down to the side road just down from my office. PERFECT. dead on view of the fireworks here, and during breaks I could turn to my left and see next town over. WIN. and the finale here finished before the other one so I got to watch both.

ladybugg7, but it then took me almost an hour to get home. well okay I can easily give the rest of you context. I live 15-20 minutes from the office. so you know. TRAFFIC.
I saw one firework that reminded me of Saturn. which of course made me think of Star Trek. WHAT? DID YOU ACTUALLY THINK I COULD GET THROUGH A POST WITHOUT MENTIONING IT. :D
