loveflyfree- watched SPN tonight for the first time in a long time. Misha Collins you and your stupid mouth have me totally bewitched.
- I really kind of want to go see The Time Traveler's Wife this weekend. like go get a little tipsy first and just have myself a ridiculously good cry at the movie. I mean, since the trailers make me cry I'm just assuming the movie will as well.
- first however is the Climb to Conquer Cancer up in Flagstaff on Saturday morning. 7 miles, uphill. fortunately there are buses that take those that can't make it all the way to the top. the first year I did it, I finished it through sheer force of will. the second year I got about half way I think. I have no expectations this year. I'm in worse shape now so I'm just going to try for the first mile and then see where it goes.
- I would really like to get some sort of consolidation loan to pay off my credit cards but my credit score is kind of crap right now. I don't really want to go through any of those companies that promise to "settle your debt." I don't want my debt settled. I want to pay it off. I just need to figure out a way to do that.
- oh! Doom is on my teevee right now! I should probably not watch it because that would mean staying up late again. well. you know. maybe just the beginning... :D

on 2009-08-14 01:06 pm (UTC)I've been through the whole credit card SUCKAGE and have (almost) emerged from the other side (all of my cc's were totally paid off until I made the move to OKC). Part of the problem with getting a loan to pay back cc's is that often people end up running their cc's back up, and then they end up with more debt than they started with.
Do you know for certain that your credit score is crap? Regardless, if I were you I would go to www.myfico.com and purchase your FICO score (you can only buy two of them at this point in time, and the ones from myfico are the actual ones you need, not the fake ones put out by companies) and this will also will get you your credit report so you know where you need to do work. The forums at myfico are EXCELLENT. I have learned so much.
If you ever want to shoot the shit about this stuff I am totally willing - it's kind of a passion of mine. :) I am a nerd. But really, I spent too much of my time being paranoid about credit, hating answering the phone because of collection agencies, not getting good rates on insurance, car loans, etc. If I can help anyone else avoid it I'd like to.
