so I lost my wallet and therefore had no id on me. when I called the airline they advised that I should get to the airport extra early because it would take a long time to get through security. I don't know if it was luck, or a non-busy time of day or what but I got through check-in, securtiy (wooo background check!), ate breakfast and found a set near my gate where I could plug in my laptop... all in about an hour.

I really could have used that extra hour of sleep. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

(seriously I would stretch out on the floor but I'm afraid of falling asleep and missing my flight.)

OMG suckydoo about losing your wallet! But hooray for hassle free airport, that's a nice relief. I hope the stuff you have to replace won't be too difficult, bleh. <3 <3 <3

so far it looks like replacing my driver's license might cause me a few headaches, but my debit card and credit cards are already canceled and the new ones are on their way. so yeah. not quite the disaster that it could have been. \o/

also I feel like I should give you fair warning. next year they're switching it to a multi-fandom con and both Cathy and I are going to bug you until you agree to come with us. :D

O RLY. I WON'T SAY NO TO THIS. In fact, it might be kind of cool, because only in a non HP con would I feel comfortable just coming as an attendee and not as a volunteer.
