1. Paige - "All Right Now" - Free - okay I actually missed this while fixing dinner but from the recap? eh. okay. I still don't really like that song. (even if DFC rocked it in his season.)
2. Ashley - "Happy" - Leona Lewis - why do people continue singing Leona Lewis songs in front of Simon. it is never going to end well. overwhelmingly meh for me.
3. Janelle - "What About Love" - Heart - I'm always scared when someone picks Heart. hmmmmmm. this is pretty shaky. yeah. bad bad song choice. sorry honey. she's cute though and I did like her during Hollywood week so I hope she gets through.
4. Lilly - "Fixing a Hole" - The Beatles - I kind of love her. I don't think she'll win or anything, but I like her voice.
5. Katelyn - "Oh! Darling" - The Beatles - I dig it.
6. Haeley - "I Want To Hold Your Hand" - The Beatles - I know I'm supposed to think she's the greatest thing ever. I just. I don't know. she's super cute, and she has a good voice. I do like the arrangement.

commercial break, so I will now talk about how much I hate Kara. there was like 10 seconds last season when I thought it was a good idea to bring her on the panel and then I realized that she suuuuuuucks. just. stfu. grrrrrrrargh.

7. Lacey - "Landslide" - Fleetwood Mac - hmmmm. yeah the only non-Stevie Nicks version of this song that I like is The Dixie Chicks. I kind of like her voice though. I just don't really like the way she's singing this song.

8. Michelle - "Fallin'" - Alicia Keys - I think I want to like that way more than I actually do. and yes Simon's got it exactly. there was nothing "wow" about it.
9. Didi - "The Way I Am" - Ingrid Michaelson - okay I love this song like a giant loving thing so don't fuck it up! she's cute, but she's sounding too much like the original. only not as good.
10. Siobhan - "Wicked Game" - Chris Isaak - true story Chris Isaak is still the artist I have seen the most times in concert. because he's made of solid gold awesome. oh she's the leg warmers girl! ♥ oh I liked this. yay!
11. Crystal - "Hand in My Pocket" - Alanis Morissette - I love this girl. seriously. I just love her so so much. sadly I think Simon is right... but whatever. I LOVE HER.
12. Katie - "Feeling Good" - Lots and lots of people - pretty much everything Ellen just said. be 17!

Favorites are defintely Lilly, Katelyn, Crystal and Siobhan.

Olympics continue to please me. except for whiny Russian LOSERS. (omg have you guys seen Plushenko's latest douchery? he's awarded himself a platinum medal. WTF YOU DELUSIONAL FUCKWIT.) I know the Olympics have their problems and in the time leading up to them, I agree with a lot of the criticisms that the games bring, no matter what city/country they are in. but once the games start, watching all those athletes do something they love so much? I'm a sucker. I spend half the games crying because these are peoples dreams. and it feels special to get to watch them. /sappy sports fan

and speaking of crying... every promo for that 'parenthood' show makes me weep. maybe I'm just hormonal. no.. I really am that lame. ;)

I was only really impressed by Lilly and Crystal. If I keep watching, I'm rooting for them. I TOTALLY disagreed with Simon on Crystal!

Plushenko is a DOUCHE. It actually requires the all caps to properly convey. Just. wtf??? If he thinks he's being cute, he's dead wrong.

I'm exactly the same way. I don't like Olympic politics and crap, but then when the games start I see how happy all the athletes are to be there and how much it means to them and then I'm all, "Yes, you go be awesome!" and stuff. It even makes me hate the overt commercialism of the games a little less too, because I know that even though I don't like being bombarded with all the advertisements many athletes would not have the money necessary to compete that they get from these corporate sponsers.

Plushenko is a moron (second only to Australia's Begg-Smith) who needs to just shut up and retire.

Also, I'm kind of gunning for Russian blood right now.

yeah. I mean I acknowledge that there are serious problems with Olympic politics but it just all goes away for me once the games start. same with the adverts. (and omg stupid mcdonald's commercials made me crave chicken mcnuggets so bad the other night. I was like 'noooooo don't succumb to the corporate devil.')

the thing that really pisses me off about Plushenko (okay everything does but the one that's bothering me the most at this moment) is that he keeps whining about the jumps and if the other men can't do a quad blah blah blah. his jumps are UGLY. there's no grace in them. he's fucking clumsy coming out of all of his jumps, not just the quad. ggggggrrrrrrarrgh.

Begg-Smith. *sigh* I sort of want to like him, but no. I like the whole doesn't really do the interview thing, just goes out and does his thing, but then it seems like he's bought in to his own press. which. UGH.
