Crystal - "Long As I Can See the Light" (CCR) - I LOVE HER SO MUCH. she is so good. I love her voice, I love her whole vibe, I just. YES. MORE OF THIS PLEASE.
Haeley - "The Climb" (Miley Cyrus) - I think Miley Cyrus is a blight on popular music. I'M JUST SAYIN'. (there's plenty of crappy music I love so you know.) this girl is really adorable and I want to like her voice. I just. don't. this is not a good perfomance. some very ugly notes.
This is my favorite part of the show ---- the trailers for "Clash of the Titans." SO EXCITED OMG.
Lacey - "Kiss Me" (Sixpence None the Richer) - that tremulous quality to her voice works for this song. wow this is soooo much better than last week. still I'm kind of meh on her.
Katie - "Put Your Records On" (Corinne Bailey Rae) - oh man I love this song. I feel like she is what we would be seeing if Rachel from Glee got on AI. her voice is really good but I find her grating. and it's mostly due to the fact that she's 17 and you know, it's just not that easy for me to relate to that anymore. but overall I thought it was good.
am I seeing a commercial trying to make the census look hip? I just. um. okay.
Didi - "Lean On Me" (Bill Withers) - I like this. I don't care what the judges are going to say. I dig it. also I'm fairly sure that Didi is what happens if Megan Joy and Brooke White have a baby.
okay. I'M SORRY. but this is season 9. you know what Simon Cowell is going to be like. IF YOU CAN'T TAKE IT... THEN MAYBE THIS IS NOT THE SHOW FOR YOU. *sigh* (although I guess both Crystal and Casey have never watched that show. which I do find endearing. WHATEVER.)
Michelle - "With Arms Wide Open" (Creed) - oh my loathing for this song is fairly epic. just. haaaaaaaate. and the only good thing I can say about this is that she is not Scott Stapp. the song still really blows. boring and crap. (not her voice. her voice is mostly okay here.)
Lilly - "A Change is Gonna Come" (Sam Cooke) - I really like this girl. I pretty much want her album now.
Katelyn - "The Scientist" (Coldplay) - not my very favorite version of this song (um. that would be Aimee Mann) but I do like the way she's trying to change things up to suit her voice. I like her.

Paige - "Walk Away" (Kelly Clarkson) - her voice is really good but I can't help but compare her to Kelly and well. you know. KELLY. so yeah. she's good and she'll get though to next week.
Siobhan - "Think" (Aretha Franklin) - some wobbly moments but overall I liked it. not my favorite but she's up there for me. and WHOA at the ending. I take it back. she's totally a favorite!

- this weekend is bowling fundraiser for Big Brothers/Big Sisters (read: get drunk and toss heavy round objects at pins) \o/
