went and saw Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief today. I really enjoyed it, but then I haven't read the book yet. I'll probably be starting it tongiht and then I can be retro-actively annoyed the way most of my flist has been. but whatever. I thought the lead actor was totally cute and eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee Kevin McKidd and Sean Bean. ♥_♥

saw trailer for what I see they are now calling The Last Airbender (because apparently everyone was confused by Avatar, idek.) the friend I went to see the movie with really wants to see it and I just sat there watching so sad about what the movie could have been. but hey it's all okay because there's a little white boy who can save us all. *sigh*

and now I'm just going to sit here and watch Miss Congeniality because I adore Sandra Bullock. and oooooh Practical Magic is on next. ♥

I'm debating about the Percy Jackson movie. I've heard lots of bad things said about it, but like you, I haven't read the books yet, either, so I might give it a shot. =)

I think the key to it's enjoyment is watching it before you read the book. at least that is what I've seen from my flist. plus I just love anything that has greek mythology so I found it very entertaining.
