Beatles week... what song will Tim be butchering this week? MEH.

- Aaron - "The Long and Winding Road" - wait. didn't Archie sing this one? he's got an okay voice but he's just so boring.
- Katie - "Let It Be" - and that is absolutely the first time it has made sense to me that she is in this season. that was good.
- Andrew - "Can't Buy Me Love" - it was fine, but boring and like everyone else I thought the breakdown was good. it doesn't help that I don't really like that song.
- Michael - "Eleanor Rigby" - I. hmmmmm. yeah I wasn't feeling it.
- Crystal - "Come Together" - I adore this song. and I adore Crystal. SO THIS ALL WORKS. seriously though I really liked that version of the song. yaaaaay.
- Tim - "All My Lovin'" - omg. um. what is this madness. he wasn't awful. I just. WHAT IS GOING ON. although I don't believe for one second that he didn't realize his hair was all Beatles moptop. YOU FILTHY SERIAL KILLER LIAR.
- Casey - "Jealous Guy" - first of all points for not doing a song that has been done over and over. and second, that was absolutely beautiful.
- Siobhan - "Across the Universe" - very pretty. Fiona Apple still does my favorite version of this song.
- Lee - "Hey Jude" - not my favorite performance of his, but I do like him. and it is good to see him more confident. also he's ADORABLECAKES. "why'd you get a bagpiper?" "WHY NOT?!" AHAHAHA <3

ahahahahah oh my god Crystal talking about Lee and Andrew just made me snort laugh SO HARD. HEEEEEEEEEEEE.

Favorites: Crystal and Casey by MILES AND MILES.

Who should go home: oh god I don't think I can say Tim. SHIT.

Okay, so I finally watched the first half of this, and my problem with Big Mike is my problem with most of this season, I don't love any of them as much as I loved David Cook. So that Eleanor Rigby I was totally comparing it to David. Poor Big Mike.

The only songs I didn't completely loathe were Crystal and Casey's. I didn't exactly enjoy "Come Together" but I thought she was okay. It didn't sound original though, just more like a woman singing Joe Cocker's cover of the song. "Jealous Guy" was REALLY good though, but as far as I'm concerned doesn't really count because it wasn't a Lennon/McCartney song.

I think what bugs me the most about these sort of nights is that it just ends up turning into "Across the Universe" night.

Also, I hate Beatles covers so there's that too.

This made me irritated! I was confused that they'd be all "LENNON/MCCARTNEY NITE ZOMG" but then allow them to choose Lennon-only (or McCartney-only, I assume) songs, like. I don't blame Casey for the song choice, but. No matter how many times my BFF tried to explain that they mentioned their solo careers at the beginning of the show, it still bugged me. In a completely nitpicky fangirl way. XD

OMGgggggg of course I had to watch this to see the songs they chose. Crystal is still my favourite. Lee's Hey Jude was AWFUL and gimmicky but I don't really care because he supports bagpipes and you can't go wrong with that!
