in other news:

- Love the Way You Lie video - I can neither explain nor describe my love for this song. the vid has some pretty beautiful images, especially with fire but it also reminds me that I can't really watch things like this. it's odd because it's not like Eminem's lyrics leave a whole lot of room for debate on what exactly is going on here, but I can listen to this song on repeat while I doubt I'll be watching this video too many times.

- I really dig Emma Watson's haircut. I think she looks absolutely gorgeous.

Thank you for posting the link to that video, I've been obsessed with that song recently and waiting for the video to come out. It's kind of fascinating seeing Dom Monaghan in that kind of role.

yeah. I was kind of impressed/disturbed seeing Dom in that kind of role. granted I haven't followed a lot of his post LotR work, but still.

and Adechike went home. so we get Lauren/Kent/Robert finale. which after we lost Alex is really the best outcome that we could have hoped for.

I stopped following SYTYCD since Alex left, but watched the result show tonight. I'm quite happy with the those 3 going into the finale. Kent has matured so much, he reminds a bit me of Ivan from season 2.

i'd actually only heard the full song once (i know, head under a rock), but the video is stunning. the imagery is terrific, and it's just so... honest, in the sense that those kinds of relationships really do look like that. (maybe with less fire, generally.) i have such conflicted feelings about eminem - his music is such damn genius, but it's so twisted. and i'm fascinated with him as a person and yet repulsed. i never know what i think.

i love emma's hair, too. i think it was a great move on her part to sort of symbolize moving on from hermione. and it's just pretty!

i was just thinking about you, because i recommended the President hotel in KC on twitter. =) (duke's playing two games at the sprint center in november.)

yeah I have many conflicting thoughts about eminem. and frankly his rhymes crossed with rhianna singing the chorus is just so fucking powerful. I'm fascinated with this song, how honest it is and how he's showing an abusive relationship from the inside AND from the pov of the abuser and not making any excuses for that behavior.

oh I completely agree it was a brilliant move on emma's part. plus she completely pulls it off. very nice.

LOL. murrieta, which is in riverside county, if you're not familiar with it. the short version of the story is that i hadn't found any job prospects in NC, and then a lucrative job in CA sort of fell in my lap. (i'll be working at pechanga casino.) so i decided to be a grown-up, for once, and take the smarter road. i still want to get to NC eventually, though.

i'm renting a house, so i'll have an actualfax guestroom now! you should come for a visit. :) the drive shouldn't be too bad from where you are... less time than it would take you to get to LA.
