- been out sick the past two days. I really do not approve. this isn't really how I wanted to have a day off.
- although I did organize my folders of animated gifs today and I feel really good about that.
- also changed my layout. design by [livejournal.com profile] circa77
- this has been the extent of my day. other than sleeping. (more on that later.)
-
OMG YAY LAUREN. I would have been happy no matter who won because I loved the top 3. but YAAAAAAAAY. (and now Kent and Lauren go off and have fabulous careers and then in about ten years start having adorable dancer babies)
- is anyone else watching The Glades. yes, it's another clever white dude cop, but so far (other than the pilot which kind of sucked) they've done a pretty good job of subverting the cliches. I'm kind of loving it. (this past weeks episode has been my faaaavorite and I have no one to talk to about it!)
- so back to my ridiculous amounts of sleep today. headache + slight fever + naps + meds = filthy porny dream in which tom hardy and I are step siblings and also sleeping with each other. OH BRAIN. AND THEN I woke up from that dream into another dream (oh Inception you have ruined me forever) where we were still step siblings but this time I just had a crush on him and he walked around shirtless all the time and was kind of a douche bag. (but still charming.) I will say it again. OH BRAIN.

I'm so glad you like the layout! It's been so long since I've made any for public consumption, but I'm wanting to start making them regularly (Who knows if I actually will, LOL). Let me know if you have any issues/I forgot something? I know the page says I don't do support, but obviously I know you're not a douche. XD

it took me so long to decide which color scheme I wanted. they're all so lovely. (this one was ultimately the most calming to me, and I like my journal to be a place I like being... crazy I know.)

so far so good. I mean I've just started using it so I'm adjusting to EVERYTHING IS DIFFERENT but I don't see any issues. <33

me too! I loved her. I mean, I loved Kent and Robert too, but Lauren has been one of my favorites since her audition. <33333

I'm happy for Lauren because my beffie ADORES HER. I was really neutral going in, but I was also convinced that Kent was unstoppable, so YAY LAUREN.

You know that I am ALL OVER The Glades with you. AHAHA, Jim's little "Well, okay, then" face when Colleen takes his coffee from him in the past episode. It lives within its cliches but also dances like mad in those boundaries, yes.

yeah. I mean I wouldn't have minded Kent winning because he has really grown in the last few weeks. but Lauren was my number 2 behind Alex so if he couldn't win I am super glad it was her.

and oh man. all the relationships on that show make me seal clap. I love love love the dynamic between Jim and Colleen. yes she knows he's good at what he does. but no she not giving him free reign.

but this last episode was so all about Callie for me. how she handled that tax guy. GIANT HEART EYES. he was seriously skeevy and I was worried as to how they were going to handle it, but to have her take care of it on her own. <3

and then my favorite scene was between her and Jeff and Jeff's comment about how they didn't have money problems when Dad was around. and you see her open her mouth and the decision she makes not destroy Jeff's vision of his dad. <3333

this is definitely an instance of where you can't judge a show by the pilot.

I loved that Callie handled the tax jackhole by herself, without anyone needing to sail in and save her. Also: nice little hint of what she might have seen in Ray, since we're not sure whether she turned the tax guy in, thereby risking someone else who might have pushed it as a criminal matter, or whether she's keeping the tape as an ace up her sleeve. She's pragmatic.

*nodnod* That moment between Callie and Jeff was great, and makes me wonder how old Jeff was when his dad went into prison/how much he actually understands. I could definitely see the MiL shielding him at a minimum, though it's also pretty clear that Jim is taking an interest in Jeff partly to keep him from going down his father's road.

also I loved her schooling Jim on women being in charge of their sex lives, however they choose to do that.

and Jim. bless. of course he offers to help her with the tax thing. even though he knows she won't accept it. and god that ending cracked me up. "sweet dreams!" <3
