goodbye 2010
Dec. 31st, 2010 08:33 pmI'm not sure what I want to say here. I've been full of fail lately at updating my journal and while I'd like to change that, I hesitate at making resolutions. Most of the time I feel like they're really just set ups for failure and I don't think I really need that. 2010 has been a year that I can sum up with 'eh.' It was neither good nor bad and I tried to keep an open mind about it up until the end. I know plenty of people who are more than eager to say goodbye to this year, but I need to stop and acknowledge the good stuff.
- I got off my ass and started back to school
- Relatedly I pulled off a 3.67 gpa in my first semester
- I went to Chicago and had ridonkulous amounts of fun
- I reconnected with a few friends that I thought were absolutely lost to the ages
- My dad finished the year in better health than he started
I know there were other good things, good days and funs times. I had my first and only house guest at my tiny tiny house. I actually sat on a panel at Wincon (even if I didn't talk all that much!) I continued to have the best friends a girl can have and a family that I know I can count on always. So so long 2010. You will be neither mourned nor missed and we'll just see what 2011 has to offer.
