- am I the only one who thinks it weird that several of the AI contestants picked songs from their favorite "idols" that were actually cover songs?
- I love love love this thing with working with established producers.

- Lauren A - I think I've already made my feelings on pop country clear.
- Casey - okay totes awesome but this is what I'm talking about. yes Joe Cocker does an amazing version but. idek.
- Ashthon - I still don't think she's as great as everyone keeps saying. meh.
- Paul - oh of course he likes Ryan Adams. if he doesn't get through I'm cutting ALL OF AMERICA.
- Pia - ERIC CARMEN. *sigh* that said, that was a gorgeous performance.
- James - I know it's cool to hate on him, but that was a great version of that song. I kind of loved it.
- Haley - I like her voice but there's something about her that just doesn't click or something.
- Jacob - OH MY GOD I HATE THIS SONG SO MUCH. his voice is great blah blah bliddy blah
- Thia - OH DEAR GOD CHARLIE CHAPLIN. this girl has waaaay too much pressure on her. she's so serious for someone so young. I liked the actual performance. the beginning was wonderful and the rest not nearly as bad as the judges made it out to be.
- Stefano - you know I wasn't totally sold on this kid but that was kind of great.
- Karen - uh oh. voice problems. pretty but. idk.
- Scotty - not my thing but YES.
- Naima - she is so very odd. not her greatest but I hope she gets through because I like her.

I'd be perfectly okay with Ashthon or Lauren going home

- ugh tomorrow I have to go to some bullshit "soft skills" training where they are going to teach us how to talk to cusotmers and co-workers. I got a preview from the other girl in my dept who went today and DNW. at all. AT ALL. just. fuck that noise.

Part of me thinks he won't make it much farther in the competition because he is limited in music style, and part of me thinks he'll go to the end because of a lot of people's obsession with country music.
