- The King's Speech is now rated PG-13. WHAT THE EVER LOVING FUCK.

- Scotty - Okay I mute the part where they're in the studio because I like to be surprised by what they're singing when they start singing it. I. I have no idea what song this is. I do like that he's playing guitar. Oh. It's "Country Comfort." Of course it is. That final note did not work for me even if the judges insist on giving him a tongue bath. hahahha he named his guitar 'Scarlett.' I wish I liked country more. He's a cute kid.
- Naima - "I'm Still Standing" It would be nice if she could hit some, any, of the notes. I LIKE HER OKAY BUT WHAT IS THIS. I'm fine with the reggae remix. It helps modernize an incredibly dated sounding song. (Mid 80s Elton is not my favorite flavor. AT ALL.) But her voice is all over the place at first. Okay she settles into it but it's still kind of a hot mess.
- Paul - "Rocket Man" I have high hopes baby. Guitar playing. Thank god. Oh and I love that ridiculous suit. Yeah I love this. I have nothing else to say. Although that final whispered note was a little... 'put the lotion in the basket.'
- Pia - "Don't Let the Sun Go Down On Me" - I thought she wasn't going to be singing more ballads. GAH. ooooh those are some shoes she's got on. I like. right. singing. she's very good. she sounds great. I'm bored.
- Stefano - "Tiny Dancer" Yeah I don't like it from note one. This arrangement sucks. his attempts to conect with the audience are painful. his eyes just want to close and I can't take it when they sing directly to the judges. and ugh the judges are high. THIS WAS NOT A GOOD VERSION.
- Lauren - "Candle in the Wind" okay I'm liking this way more than I thought I would. and god help me I think those little giggles at the end of her performances are endearing. okay Steven Tyler that was a little gross.
- James - "Saturday Night's Alright" somehow I knew he would do this song. eh. competant performance. I guess. the end was too screamy. blergh.
- Thia - "Daniel" I thought for sure she would do the Lion King song so this is kind of exciting. that was pretty. and she actually showed emotion. fantastic.
- Casey - "Your Song" this will either be awesome or a complete mess. which is pretty much how I feel everytime he sings. the trip to the barber was a good idea. some of the phrasing is not working for me, but I like that he's just singing the song relatively straight rather than trying to flip it. it's an intense song so his voice works for it. I dug it.
- Jacob - "Sorry Seems To Be the Hardest Word" meh. I am unimpressed. it's possible I have no soul, but there you have it.
- Haley - "Bennie and the Jets" oh I hope this is awesome. this is seriously one of my favorite Elton songs. Her growly voice really suits this song. I reallly hope she gets to stay. I don't trust America but that was super awesome.
I have no idea who is going home. Stefano and Naima maybe. or Thia. which would suck. I mean I'm pretty over Jacob and Pia at this point. and frankly James as well. I guess we'll see.
- hahahahha I just spent most of this episode of American Idol looking at J-Lo and thinking 'ugh she totally kissed Alex O'Loughlin.' ahahhahah self. TOTALLY SMITTEN.
- This new Mobbed show freaks me out. I kind of hate public proposals. It puts way too much pressure on the woman. WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT TO SOMEONE YOU LOVE. ugh.

on 2011-03-31 07:38 pm (UTC)I bet it's because of that scene where he's just screaming curses. I'm surprised it wasn't PG-13 to begin with, honestly.
