catching up on TV:

Young Justice - slowly getting caught up on this and so far am digging it. watched episode 3? I think. *checks wiki* yes. episode 3 "Welcome to Happy Harbor." ok I love M'gann. LOVE HER. and not just because of my affections for red haired green girls. <3 SUPERBOY NEEDS TO BE NICER TO HER. okay so. I'm woefully ignorant of DC canon which is probably helpful in this case since I know this show differs from the comics. I know Dick Grayson (and love that crazy kid) but don't know a lot about Wally. Kaldur is awesome and it's nice to see him slowly step into the role of leader. but really it's all about M'gann for me right now. she's adorable and sweet and kind of badass. AWESOME.

Archer - "Jeu Monegasque" AHAHAHAHAH OH GOD THIS SHOW. Every single time someone said "Benoit" and Archer said "balls" I laughed. I COULDN'T HELP IT. this show is so wrong and I spend the entire time giggling like a teenage boy. also I'm starting to find Archer kind of attractive. GOD SO WRONG.

Big Bang Theory - "The Herb Garden Germination" well it's finally happened. Amy Farrah Fowler has become my favorite character. the social experiments she ran with Sheldon were AMAZING. Mayim Bialik's delivery is just perfection. also these two exchanges about the false rumors they spread about the two of them having sex:

Amy: The meme has reached full penetration.
Sheldon: Pun intended?
Amy: No. Happy accident.

Amy: I should let you know that she asked for details about our dalliance.
Sheldon: Interesting. So it went beyond the mere fact of coitus to a "blow by blow" as it were.
Amy: Pun intended?
Sheldon: I'm sorry. What pun?

Amy's FACE at Sheldon not getting the 'blow by blow' reference was awesome. other than Amy and Sheldon, Raj gets my favorite line of the night with "Shut. Your. ASS." good times. also Howard and Bernadette are adorable and I'm so happy she said yes. YAY CHARACTER GROWTH.

Castle - "Slice of Death" the case is kind of boring me, but I'm loving the b plot with Alexis.

Criminal Minds - "Hanley Waters" my review is up here at Girls on Screen

heh. I started this post two days ago. in the meantime I have also mainlined the first season of Community and am now not so patiently waiting for Hawaii Five-O. GIVE ME ALL YOUR STEVE AND DANNO.

M'GANN IS TTLY AWESOME, I LOVE HER SO MUCH.

There's interesting debate on this YJ cartoon version of M'Gann and how she works as a character in terms of feminism. I personally lean towards the pro-M'Gann side, because I think the way she's written is an aspect of feminism that's often overlooked by many people.

ANYWAY since you read the girlsonscreen YJ Primer, if you have any more wonderings about the chars, PLEASE LET'S DISCUSS. :D I am srsly throwing myself back into DCU fandom right now, so I'm all hepped up on (wryly) fangirling everything to do with DC.

Are people complaning that she bakes cookies? Or that she clearly crushes on Superboy? Obviously I need to watch the other episodes, but so far she seems like a well rounded character. I look forward to more of the ladies.

I know right? And in my opinion she just keeps getting better and better with each new episode. She's absolutely delightful. And Artemis = win. I hope they are able to add in a Wonder Girl or something, because then the team would be gold!
