my favorite band. um. I don't even know. I mean. there's The Beatles. obviously. but I've already posted one of their songs and I'm kind of trying to keep a variety going in the meme. so I'm going to go with Green Day. I started listening to them while living in Santa Cruz after going with Topher to a show at The Catalyst. it was just before the release of Dookie so they hadn't exploded yet and it was just a couple of hundred sweaty crazy 20somethings slamming into each other on the dance floor. I was covered with bruises after that show and the smile on my face lasted for days. I love all of their albums, and American Idiot is in my list of top 10 albums ever. but still my favorite song comes from Dookie which is the first one I owned.

hahaha a band I hate. sooo many. so many that my friends love and I would rather puncture my eardrums than listen to them. but probably my most hated band is Nickelback. and they're EVERYWHERE. gah. still. they managed to do this song which I actually really like. idek guys.

have caught up on all my tv that was still on my dvr.
- so I still had an episode from a few weeks ago that I hadn't gotten around to watching, mostly because the finale just left me feeling very 'meh' about it all. it wasn't a bad episode it just left me unsettled. not the case, which was not terribly strong as I pegged the unsub the first time they were shown, but the team. Hotch and his 'I want to stay' talking about the BAU when Thomas Gibson has still not signed for next season just made me feel very nervous. and not even the return of JJ at the very end, and the promised return of Emily could make me feel good about it. I mean. this is my show. I know y'all feel that was about SPN and I get it. it's just. SHOW.
but then I finally got around to watching 'Out of the Light' and OH GOD SO MUCH GOODNESS AND EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! again. not the case. the cases aren't really why I watch this show, although this one wasn't bad. and we did get Morgan diving into a lake to save the girl and Hotch SHOOTING THE UNSUB UNDER WATER AHAHAHAHAHAHA GOD SHOW YOU ARE RIDICULOUS AND WONDERFUL. and an honestly creepy moment with the reveal that the guy they let go wasn't innocent. but we also got Hotch and his son Jack which just fills me with unreasonable amounts of joy. Hotch coaching Jack's soccer team. ROSSI HELPING. I have never shipped them together but oh god it was so adorable. and while my fears about next season are still there this episode just had so much of what I love that I'm feeling ok about it all.
PLUS WE GET JJ AND EMILY BACK. <3333333333
- okay I've pretty much hated this entire season. there have been moments here and there and even individual episodes that were ok but overall the season arc bugged the crap out of me. mostly because it was so disjointed and the writers clearly had no idea what they were doing. say what you want about Kripke... at least he had an overall idea of where the story was going. this season has just been a mess. they mishandled the reveal of Sam not having a soul and then seemingly abandoned the storyline with the sloppy 'oh Death will just shove it back in and put up a wall.' they constructed a big bad in Eve and then while the misdirect of it didn't bother me it did bother me to watch them introduce yet another female character just to kill her off. they've taken characters, well liked and not, and killed them off FOR NO REASON. THERE WAS NO REASON TO KILL LENORE PEOPLE. and I know the argument will be it shows how far Castiel was going off the rails but no. I don't buy it. we could already see that Cas was being shady and weird.
with all that in mind, I had no hope for the last three episodes. imagine my suprise at how much I enjoyed them. it was like the writers finally figured out the story they were telling. of course it sets up Cas to either be the big bad next season, or to be killed in the first few eps, but either way I'm okay with it. Misha and Jensen acted their asses off showing the disintegration of Cas and Dean's relationship. I was ready to not watch next season, but I've got to say I'm actually engaged enough to give it a least a couple of episodes.
