catching up on this past week's So You Think You Can Dance


- Sasha and Alexander - I just can't connect to him. I don't know what it is. She is gorgeous and amazing however.
- Caitlynn and Mitchell - niiiiice. that was really good and holy god hips.
- Miranda and Robert - her legs are unreal. he bugs the crap out of me so whatever.
- Melanie and Marco OMG OMG OMG. so fucking beautiful and gorgeous and I want to watch this FOREVER. Marco's emotions and just the whole character he played was amazing. and holy hell that kiss. sometimes when choreographers ask their dancers to kiss it feels all contrived and forced and that was just so REAL. like bordering on uncomforatably so but still I've rewatched it countless times now. and Melanie. MELANIE OH GOD. like every movement she makes is so good. and she's so adorable. I want her to win this year SO BAD.
- Ashley and Chris - not Sonya's best work but I still enjoyed it.
- Clarice and Jess - I really like her and STILL HATE HIM SO MUCH. ugh.
- Ryan and Ricky - gorgeous. I know it's an unpopular opinion but I like that they kept Ryan last week.
- Jordan and Tadd - she is my least favorite girl. but he is fantastic.
- yeah the rest of the show was great. MELANIE OH MY GOD

- results show:
- group routine - eh I am not loving this. is this Tyce? Michael Rooney? who? whatever.
- eeeeee bts kiss between Marco and Melanie SO CUTE. I love them so much and her BEYOND REASON.
- I always feel like Miranda is just wearing her underwear
- also I want Cat's shoes
- this performance from Access is gorgeous.
- Ashley's solo - beautiful
- Chris's solo - eh whatever
- Miranda's solo - gorgeous until the last few seconds where it just felt like she gave up
- Robert's solo - he bugs so I don't even care
- Caitlynn's solo - a little bit all over the place really
- Mitchell's solo - good. he's safe.
- god I love how they bring professional dancers on here to perform. because this is amaaaaazing.
- I do like Miranda but seriously the girls this year are just amazing.
- oh no more Robert yaaaaaaaay.

- in other news, a thunderstorm went through today and made the temperature drop about 20 degrees THANK GOD.
- yesterday I finally (!!!!) watched Batman Begins and The Dark Knight. I KNOW. (I loved them btw.)
- could not be happier that the holiday is tomorrow and that I have the day off.

absolutely - that scene between him and aaron eckhart just before the joker blows up the hospital is completely amazing. I think I will watch Dark Knight now, actually! it's been a while. :)

oh my god yes. I was actually really sad that Two-Face dies at the end. I would have liked him to stick around Gotham a little longer. (I did not care one bit about Rachel dying. um. I think maybe I'm doing that part wrong.)

yeah Two-Face was a great character. I'm really interested to see what they do with the next film - almost sounds like they have too much going on - but I have a lot of faith in Christopher Nolan. (I didn't care much about losing Rachel either. I really wouldn't have cared if Katie Holmes had continued to play the part.)

I haven't been paying too much attention to what's going on with the new film. I just know that Anne Hathaway is Selina Kyle and that Tom Hardy is Bane and both of those things make me pretty happy. but yeah I have a lot of faith in Christopher Nolan so I'm super excited to actually see the next one in the theater. (seriously I can not even believe that I never went and saw these.)
