Through the kindness of a friend I was able to go see HP7 tonight.

I need to see it again but first impressions pretty much amount to me making heart eyes all night. They did right by Neville (something I was worried about after OotP) and for me that makes the story complete. Also I loved beyond reason the reveal of Snape's past with Lily. and McGonagall was a total badass not that there was any doubt.

In other news work is going to suck tomorrowtoday.

I was THE biggest emotional mess by the end. Also, it really helps seeing both films back to back.

I think I'll be a bigger mess the next time I see it. for this time there was so much else going on (we had a party and were in costume and the theater was crazy in a totally awesome way.) I did have tears for a lot of the movie, but not the sobbing mess I was expecting to be.

I really want to reread the books now, which will mean digging out my library card because my mom actually is the one who owns the books. SO SAD FOR ME.

Yeah, the book hit me a LOT harder. Although the clearing scene hit me the same in both the book & movie - I was totally trying not to bawl my eyes out. It wasn't pretty.

But yeah, now all I want to do is re-read the series again.

I have not seen it in 3D yet, but I intend to do so very soon, maybe as a double-header with Cowboys and Aliens.
