well tonight I have no problem remembering what I was going to post because WORK RANT AHOY!

oh dear god my department is just. okay. there are three of us. two of us work our asses off. THE THIRD IS NOT ONLY A HORRIBLE HUMAN BEING BUT SHE IS A COMPLETE WASTE OF SPACE. uuuugh. it's actually easier when she isn't there. because then at least we know that we have to be making sure her work gets done as well. but even when she's there we still have to pick up the slack. IT SUCKS. A LOT. add to all of this that she's a racist, homophobic, and just generally awful person it's a whole lot of fun to go to work every day. MEH.

whatever. good things now!

there are so many movies I want to see right now. or well. at least 3. am going to attempt to see at least one this weekend. either Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, War Horse or The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo. and they're even all grown up movies! how rare for me. :) any suggestions/recs are more than welcome.

I need to find someone around here that likes wine. I want to go wine tasting but most of my friends think it's gross. the one friend who does legit like it will make some excuse why she can't hang with me and then I will find out she spent the weekend with her Jehovah's Witness friends. sigh sigh I know I'll always be second best.

so the all star game for the CHL is tonight and I am clearly not there which is okay since I've never gone to a game before, but they've been carting the Stanley Cup around to local businesses today and I was stuck at work and couldn't go see it! CATHY IT IS YOUR FAULT THAT I EVEN CARE! am I going to have to get a hockey icon?

Speaking of the Stanley Cup (and my bitter Vancouver Canuck heart), I can hardly believe that Tim Thomas (goalie, Boston Bruins) did not go to the White House because of "political reasons". Good grief.

I went to see War Horse in the cinema and thought that it was quite good. It had a bit of a Black Beauty vibe (though thankfully with no horses actually talking in their heads or anything) and was a bit melodramatic, but it was pretty decent. I will watch Peter Mullan and Liam Cunningham and Benedict Cumberbatch in anything. I have TTSS waiting on my computer for me to watch it (omg how have I kept from watching it this long??), and refuse at this point to see the Hollywood version of Dragon Tattoo. I'm sure I will come around though, haha! I am simply not yet willing to let anyone replace Noomi Rapace in my mind. :P

I still haven't gone to the movies because stupid life keeps getting in the way. boooo stupid life. I've heard good things about Dragon Tattoo from people who loved the original version.

Benedict Cumberbatch will be the downfall of us all. I just know it.
