- um. how did I somehow forget that the first few episodes of The West Wing Season 2 make me cry my eyes out? this was maybe not my best idea ever.

- went to the doctor today and got my results from the colonoscopy. I have ulcerative colitis which is basically an inflammation in the large intestine. it has no real known cause, although certain foods can aggrevate it. there is no cure. there is however management of symptoms and a very real possibility of long periods of remission. it is by far not the worst news I could have gotten but it's still a little much to process. I will have yet more medications to take and the diet recommendations pretty much are in direct conflict with the diet recommendations for my diabetes. so that's fun. I think I'm going to try and work it out on my own, but I may end up needing to see a nutritionist, just to get myself sorted out. we shall see.

- I started reading The Hunger Games last night. I know I'm like the last person to read these books. I've only read a few pages, but I like the narrative voice so far.

- I've been passing time at work and on my drive to/from work by indulging in some of the most ridiculous Mary Sue fantasies ever about one Mr. Cumberbatch. mostly we just hang out together and drink coffee and talk about feminist representations in the media and which of the Twilight movies is the best. I would be embarrassed but I don't remember what shame is.

- some day I will stop listening to angsty John/Sherlock mixes. today is not that day. tomorrow isn't looking real good either. :)

glad to hear your stomach woes are manageable, but yeah, that's a PITA. :\ you'll figure it out, though... i have faith in you.

I watched most of the final season, but the season before that I watched only a couple of episodes. but man the beginning of season two is pretty much perfection, even if it does make me cry my eyes out. heh.

yeah. it's manageable and not nearly as bad as it could have been but UGH. meh.

ooooh. yeah that is a bit early, but go ahead and email me the chatroom. if my internet is behaving that sounds like fun.

and oh Michael. I see he's still overly fond of ugly scarves. those are some pretty great pictures. also that dude playing guitar is pretty hot. ♥

ugh. Stomach/intestinal/digestive problems blow. I'm glad to hear that it's not something completely dire, though I know it must be worrisome and aggravating.

yeah. I mean it could have been so much worse so I'm thankful that this is all it is, but UGH. and the fact that diabetes suggests a high fiber diet and the colitis suggests a low fiber diet is a bit tricky. so I'm going to just have to figure out what works for me through trial and error. so that should be fun. :/

I love it so far! I should go buy the other books since I can already tell that as soon as I finish the first one I'm going to want to immediately start the next one.
