- would the Sherlock people on my flist please explain this post to me. I. I don't get it. :(
- my dad is home and resting comfortably. I know I didn't actually come out and say it, but he had a heart attack. I just. I couldn't put the words down here while he was still in the hospital. I don't know why. I just. couldn't. but he's home now and has a follow up in a couple of weeks and then I'm going to visit them in March so everything is fine.
- it just realized today that I didn't do my posting of pretty people this year for Valentine's day. oh well. it probably would have just been 14 different pictures of Martin Freeman anyway. :D
- ok I think my headache is going to win this round. g'night all.

thanks sweetie. I think what freaked me out most was my mom admitting that she was a little freaked out. she NEVER does that. I mean we're kind of used to all my dad's various medical things but this was new and different. but at least they were able to pinpoint the problem (scar tissue) and hopefully fix it? idek. *snuggles*

I noticed it the first time I watched the ep, but just thought it was some kind of hearing aid. and not the super sonic kind that allows you to spy on everyone around you... just the kind that allows normal conversation. but yeah. Moffat and co are total trolls and I'm sure we can look forward to stuff like this for the next many months.

That is a very scary thing to have happen to one's father. I am glad he is at home and resting comfortably and that he is being looked after.

As for this John-earpiece freakout, I haves no ideas. Apparently it's not altered photos. Apparently it's really there in the episode (I will have to watch again - I can't bring myself to just fastforward to the hurty scene). I wouldn't think much of it if the earpiece was only in the 'talking on the phone' bit, as that could be something to cue Martin for his lines, the pauses between, etc you know? But the fact that it's out of his ear and on the pavement after an entirely different take (getting hit by the cyclist)...I don't know. It could still be a fluke, I suppose, just something that was involved with the tech of filming, but... we'll just have to wait and see I guess.

YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!!1 I'm just glad it actually got there like Amazon said it did. I thought the website might be lying to me and I was going to have to kick some ass, ha-ha!

HE IS SO AMAZING IN CONFETTI THAT IT MAKES ME WANT TO ROLL UP IN A BALL AND SQUEAL.

Make sure to watch the extras, especially the cut scenes from "One Week to Go" (I think that's it), because there is this beautiful scene between Martin and Jessica when they are waiting for "their" wedding, "Matt" being all supportive and counselling and whatnot. It just killed me when I watched it.

omg I can hardly wait for you to watch the whole thing so I can hear what you think and we can spaz about it.

I JUST FINISHED AND OMG OMG OMG. it seems so silly and then becomes this really lovely little movie. the wedding, which should have all been ridiculous, were actually really beautiful. thank you so much for this! I can't even.

I really do love it. and I can't even begin to count the number of times I yelled out 'MARTIN YOUR FACE!' and eeee I'm watching the deleted scenes now. and oh god. I love him. can I marry Martin Freeman? I know he has a longtime partner that he loves very much but I'm a lovely girl, and I don't need his attention all the time. just. I don't even know what I'm saying anymore.

I'm so glad your dad is okay. My mom is the same way about health things--she tries to keep them to herself thinking it's less stressful for me that way, when really it's the opposite. (My sister assists--once she tried to call me to tell me my mom was in the hospital, got a busy signal, shrugged and didn't try again for three days.) Parents, what can you do?

The silver lining of anything like this is that his doctors will be watching him more closely, so if he had an issue that wasn't getting looked after, it will be now. And you'll be able to see for yourself in March, which will be comforting I'm sure.

several years ago when my dad had bypass surgery my mom called to tell me about the 'small surgery' my dad had. I was living in New Jersey at the time and flew back to Arizona to visit which is when I learned it was a quadruple bypass. just ridiculous.

yeah just hearing my dad's voice the other day made me feel much better. and yeah. March is coming up fast so it won't be to long before I see him.
