I've been everywhere

so I went down to Phoenix this afternoon in the 105 degree heat in a car that has no air conditioning so that I could go to the Phoenix Art Museum and see the National Theater Live showing of Frankenstein. I saw the version with Benedict Cumberbatch as Victor Frankenstein and Jonny Lee Miller as The Creature.

I honest to god don't know what to do with all of my feelings. it's about a two hour drive from where I live to the museum and the entire way home I was either crying or talking to myself or just making incoherent joyful noises trying to come up with a way to describe what I had just seen. it was absolutely incredible and if you have the means I highly recommend finding a theater that is playing it.

the opposite roles version is showing the sunday after next. needless to say I've already purchased tickets.

I thought my crush on Benedict couldn't get any bigger or more ridiculous. ahahahahahaha oh god I love how devastatingly wrong I can be.

OMG, I have tickets for this Saturday (Benedict Creature) and next Thursday (Benedict Frankenstein) and I CAN NOT WAIT. I just keep watching the trailer over and over again.

it was seriously SO AMAZING. I can't wait until you've seen it so I can talk about it! you must let me know what you think of it. Benedict was fantastic as Victor Frankenstein and I'm fully expecting to be destroyed by him as the Creature (as I was by JLM.)

OMG, I can't even. Benedict's creature was absolutely phenomenal. I'm really excited to see if JLM can match it. Benedict is so good with movement and physicality... I really don't think anyone can come close to him in that department.

oh man. right now that's totally how I feel about JLM's creature. his movement has amazing. oh I'm so excited to see the other version next Sunday.

UGH. I need to see it again. It left me speechless for most of the day yesterday. So good.

I find it so endearing and sweet when you talk about Benedict. I know I give you crap, but well I have too. ;)
But, I honestly hope that one day you come face to face with Mr. Benny Cumberbatch, and he sees how awesome you are.

Oh man, can you just tell me EVERYTHING about it? The fact that they don't have plans to release a DVD hurts my soul. ;_;

I don't understand why they wouldn't release it on dvd. I would buy SO MANY COPIES. everyone I know would get it for Christmas. heh. yeah I'm only kind of kidding.

And once I see the second performance I will come back here and tell you EVERYTHING. I need to see how they are in the switched roles before I can really form all my many feelings into even semi-coherent thoughts.
